Hey Steve!  Glad to see all went well.  What you're experiencing is normal.  For the 1st week or so, you won't have a desire to eat.

It is very important to stay hydrated, so try and get tha****er in however possible.  Water with flavor packets, SF popsicles, tea, etc.

Hey Steve....first calm down...i think the one thing we all have in common immediately after WLS is no appetite..so just relax, sip, sip, sip..everytime you think about it, just take a few sips of water(they all add up)and of course chew, chew, chew....you're gonna have to make yourself eat a lil something even when you don't feel like it....i'm sure you'll be fine but seek yr doc if you think you have a more serious problem..
I pray you have a speedy recovery..

Be blessed,
ms.Cleo

Hey Steve, I didn't have the VSG, I chose RNY but I know for sure I didn't have an appetite for quite awhile more than just a week.  Make sure you are drinking as much water as you can hold and try to do it through out the day.  A simple trick I used was to try and get up and walk and drink a little water everytime a commercial came on.  My dietician told me to try that and it worked for me.  Good luck.

Congratulations on your surgery Steve!  Everyone else gave good advice so I won't try to add to it.
